May is CRAZY

May Is A Busy Month!! Please Keep Your Concert Packet Handy! May Reminders:
1. All accounts must be settled and paid in full by Saturday May 9. Accounts with balances will not be permitted to register for next season. Accounts with balances over three months may be subject to collections. 

2. Concert DVD sign-ups are now posted on the bulletin board. Concert DVDs are $25.

3. Academic Company forms are due by Saturday May 9. Forms can be found in your concert packet. Late forms will not be accepted.

4. Program Ads are also due on Saturday May 9. Program Ad packets can be found in the red studio.

5. Registration material will be given to students beginning on Monday May 11. The registration fee is $30 per family (not per dancer). Dancers who are not on probation, know which classes they would like to attend and do not have concerns DO NOT need to attend a registration appointment. Simply complete the registration form, attach the registration fee and hand it in to Andrea E.

6. There is no class Saturday May 23 and Monday May 25 for Memorial Weekend.

7. Our concert is on Saturday May 30 at Riverton High School. Dancers need to be in full costume, hair and makeup for dress rehearsal at 10:00 am. Staff will be checking for polish, jewelry and underleotards during dress rehearsal. Dancers may leave when their pieces are finished. THEN dancers need to return to Riverton High School by 1:30 pm. The show begins at 2:00. Golden Ticket Holders will be escorted through the side door at 1:15. 

8. The Cast Party will be held on Thursday June 4 at 5:00 pm. This is a pot luck. 

9. Summer Kinuko will be held from June 8 – August 1. The Kinuko Concert will be held on Saturday August 8. CVAC families may purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $4 per ticket. Modern students are encouraged to attend. Kinuko students will be given a discounted rate, if they bring a friend. See Shayla or Andrea E for further details.

10. The 2015 -2016 season will begin on Monday August 3.

11. This has been a smooth, fast, productive year. Thank you for supporting your dancer and making this year stress free!!!

Concert Pictures April 13-15

We have scheduled Kevin Lunt Photography to take our dance pictures this year. Dancers will pay Kevin directly when pictures are taken. Kevin will take the pictures in our studio, during class time(for the most part) and will have a proofing station set up. His prices are very competitive. We hope this system is a better option for our dancers. We will be taking class pictures this year, so please try to be there for pictures.

Dancers need to wear their performance attire; including performance tights and shoes. Please remove nail polish from fingers and toes and remove all jewelry. Dancers can wear their hair any way they would like.

4:30 - 6:30 pm Open Hours for Saturday classes and classes not listed who are not taking pictures on location. This includes Academy Hip Hop, Company Hip Hop, Academy and Company Jazz, Academy Modern and dancers who cannot make their assigned times.

Dane-A-Thon This Monday!

Are you Ready?

So You Think You Can Dance-A-Thon Schedule. Workshop instructors are NOT regular CVAC teachers or choreographers. Teachers are from the University of Utah, UVU and The Kinuko Modern Dance Company.

Here is Monday's Schedule 

Schedule:
Level 4 (Company and Principals):
9 am - 10 am Hip Hop
10 am  - 11 am  Jazz
11 am  - 12 pm Modern
12 pm - 1 pm Conditioning

Level 3 (Academy and Ballet 9):
9 am -10 am Jazz
10 am - 11am  Hip Hop
11 am  - 12 pm Conditioning
12 pm - 1 pm Modern

Level 2 (Ballet 7 and 8):
1 pm - 2 pm Hip Hop
2 pm - 3 pm Modern
3 pm - 4 pm Jazz

Level 1 (Beginning Students):
1 pm - 2 pm Modern
2 pm - 3 pm Hip Hop

Look at the level of your dancer and that's the time he or she will come to our dance-a-thon. All dancers currently enrolled at CVAC are FREE, we are just asking that you try to find sponsors through our link. 

Any dancers not with CVAC currently will need to pay $5 per class. 

We are raising money to help pay for the flood that occurred in the studio over the Christmas Break. 

We will give prizes to a dancer in each level that dances the longest. If we have a tie we will have a dance off. 

So You Think You Can Dance-A-Thon

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE A THON will be held on Monday February 16. Posters and hand outs will be given to the dancers this week.

There will be 4 levels of this dance a thon. The last dancer standing at the end of all classes will win a $20 gift card to Charming Charlie's.

Friends of CVAC Dancers can any class for a $5 Donation. Friends are also eligible for prizes.

Costume Money Due -- January 17

January Tuition is Due today and the costume order sheet and money are due next Saturday January 17. Please fill out the costume order sheet and attach a check for the total. Thank you again for being such a great dance community.
